Academy award winner – music composer A. R. Rahman and bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan have collaborated to make a tune for the upcoming Hockey World cup that is going to be played from 28th November to 16th December at the kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The tune, titled Jai Hind Hind, Jai India, grandstands the ‘new India’ and the flicks of the game — from grassroots to the world class — from the nation. The highlight is that A.R. Rahman is directing Shah Rukh Khan in this music video for the first time .The verses of the melody is written by Gulzar.
The song is supposed to motivate and make a buzz among Indians in front of the World Cup. Along with its video, the anthem is going to be released towards the end of October. The tune will be performed amid the opening ceremony of the World Cup, on November 27.
