With the world’s second largest statue, Indonesia now has a new tourist attraction and a national symbol of greatness and unity.The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Monument (GWK) opened on saturday at Ungusan, South Bali is larger than The Statue of Liberty and took 28 years to complete.It was inaugarated by the proud President of Indonesia.
Standing 120 meters tall from the ground and 276 above sea level, it is built such that it can be seen by the passengers from the window of the plane landing in Ngurah Rai International Airport giving a warm welcome to the tourists and thus giving them a everlasting memory.
