Started on September 10 the strike on Costa Rica has now started effecting the country’s tourism industry.Several small business owners have been struggling with a considerably low income.The protests which have blocked the major highways have led to narrow profit margins.The reservations have stooped as low as 50% to the original mark.
The strikes which are being held in opposition to a certain tax reform, has resulted in the marching of thousands of citizens which has further resulted in the blockage of major highways.Many feel that the strike has done much damage to the reputation of the country as a travel destination.
