The Philippines may have endured a few misfortunes lately because of negative press around the southern island of Mindanao, however Tourism Representative Margarita Valdes is hopeful , about the growth of the country’s tourism sector . Althouth the nation is still confronting challenges in advancing the concept of safety and connectivity, according to her, such issues have already been taken care of .

Philippines has now setteled its new international connection with Qatar Airways and has declared its new flights from Doha to Cebu and Davao on regular basis , adding to their current flights to Manila and Clark. The aircraft flies from Munich, Berlin and Frankfurt, and some main European cities .
Apart from that, the countries major tourists’ destinations are now being addressed by domestic flights more frequently, as the result of some noticeable enhancement in local infrastructure.
“Whatever difficulties we may have in any market, it is urging to see that the Philippines’ aggregate tourism figures still keep on developing, which is a solid sign of a worldwide enthusiasm for setting out to the Philippines and encountering the enjoyment on our shores,” Valdes said.
As reported by the government, there has been a growth of 10.96% of tourism entries for 2017. Which means 6.6 million sightseers, with more than 675,000 of them originating from Europe – a 7.3 % expansion from the privious year.
